The Very Hungry Caterpillar

On Thursday, Mrs. Law read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the class and we brainstormed different things that someone could eat and what they would turn into.  Later we watched the story Gregory the Terrible Eater and Little Pea.  Both books tell funny stories about odd things to eat.  Today in the computer lab we created a sequence project that showed off our creative thinking by imagining someone eating a variety of things and what they could turn into.  Below are some examples of what we did in computer lab.

Our Virtual Field Trip

Today we had a virtual field trip about the sun.  The students loved talking to someone who works in NASA. 

Meeting the Class of 2023

Planting a Rainbow

Today we watched "Planting a Rainbow" on Bookflix and planted our own sunflower seeds and we are very excited to see what will happen in the next few days.

JBD's Mentoring Program

We are so lucky at JBD to have a new mentor program called C.A.M.P which was organized by Mr. White, a fifth grade teacher at our school.  Officer Webb has spent time in our class reading and painting these past two weeks and giving some extra attention to our kindergarteners.

Our New Read Aloud

We are reading Charlotte's Web as our new read aloud and the kiddos are mesmerized by the story.  After we finish the book we will try to watch the movie if we have time.
