Exploring Our Spring Tree

Spring is Here! Things are growing and changing in our class. We took our science notebooks outside to document what our tree looks like in Spring and how it is different from the winter tree, fall tree, and summer tree.

Becoming a Writer

Today we read the book Red is a Dragon which is also on tumblebooks. Each student then chose a color to write about in their writing notebooks and had to think of four things of that color and then label the items. We had some very creative work!

Creative Writing

During our Daily Five session each day, one of the choices the students can make it "Work on Writing". For this choice students use the dry erase boards to write words, sentences, and draw pictures to match. I thought these creative pictures by one of my students were so cute!

Letter to Santa

Today we wrote a letter to Santa telling him that his was "thumbody" special.
