We are working on text to text connections in class. For our lesson today we read "Oliver Button is a Sissy" and "William's Doll" and made text to text connections. Click here for more books to read at home to help your child make text to text connections.

Let's Recycle

Today we had a special visitor, Kathy Russell, who came to visit our class to talk about recycling. Kathy Russell is the education consultant at TFC Recycling and came to share what can be recycled at school with her dog Taylor who wore a vest of items that are able to be recycled. Many students said they do not have a recycle bin at home. If you live in a single family home (not an apartment or condo), please call the city to request a recycling bin. Thanks!

Fun Math Books

In the past few weeks we have studied estimating, map skills, and probability. The kiddos love these three books by Loreen Leedy that address these skills.

Science Lab!

Today we had our science lab on water. Many thanks to our parent volunteers doing all the science experiment stations for us.

Our New Read Aloud

Our new read aloud is Charlotte's Web- one of the most beloved stories of all time! The students are mesmerized by Fern and Wilbur. We are currently on chapter 4.
