Information for Upcoming Kindergarten Parents

Graphing
Today we took a quick survey on favorite colors from other students and staff. We converted our tally marks into a graph on the smartboard. Green was the most popular!

Kelso's Choices
Our wonderful kindergarten class has completed the Kelso's Choice technology project that Ms. Booth, our guidance counselor, created over the last five weeks. Enjoy!

Estimation
This week we have worked on practicing estimating. We have read two exciting books and each day we practice estimating the number of things in a zip-loc bag. Yesterday we estimated a bunch of crayons, made our guesses on post-it notes, and then counted to see the real number (26). We then discussed which guesses were guess estimates. We also watched a clip from discovery education on how crayons are made and the large amount of crayons that are made each day.

Musician in Residence
This week we had our musician in residence, Ms. Merritt,who taught our class the basics of how to play the harmonica. We had so much fun!
